Hi,

I was wondering, if there's a way to define the starting point and direction in which the icons are automatically positioned on the desktop? By default it is right top corner and new icons (drives and so forth) are then added below. Is it possible to have them started on the left top corner and go to the right, for example. Or bottom left going to the right ...

/sam

No, but since 10.5, even drives will finally stay where you put them, even after a remount.

New Folders, and material copied to the desktop folder will still clutter it up from top right downward.
