I just noticed that the latest security update seems to install Shockwave plugin 10.1.1.r16 even though we already had version 11.0.3.r470.

Having two versions of the plug-in can't be a good thing...

Anyone else notice this issue?

Not me but I don't have a PPC Mac anyway. I have an NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave plugin at version 10 on my MacBook Pro and I swear I had installed Shockwave 11.

You could try reinstalling SW11 and see if it's just (as I think) a goof in the version number for the plugin.

If you are running Shockwave 11 on Intel I don't think you should have the "NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave" plugin. From what I can tell "NP-PPC-Dir-Shockwave" is only part of Shockwave 10 and earlier.
The version 11 plugin is"DirectorShockwave.plugin"

From looking at them in Pacifist It looks like SecurityUpdate2008-008 packages (for PPC and Intel) include theShockwave 10 plugins!

Again, this is on 10.4.x

I think it's Apple's goof!
I had Shockwave 11 installed and now I have both 11 and 10.
Prior to upgrading to 11 I had fully uninstalled 10.
Then after Sec2008-008 I had both.
Examination of the SecUpdate package seems to show that it does nclude the older version 10.

Wow, that is Apple's goof. Sucks too because many people won't notice. Nice work Tee.
