My picture source list just isn't working properly. Nothing shows up anymore under any of the default folders such as "Apple Images", "Nature", etc. And when I go to select the folder of pictures I want, it says "Duplicate Folder: The folder you selected is already present in the picture source list." How can I reset this panel's "preferences"?

Try deleting the contents of the "Caches" folder in your home folder's Library. Then log out and back in.

I emptied all my cache folders, and the problem still exists.

So I just went through my drive and started deleting things I don't need anymore to make space, such as application support for programs I don't have anymore, adjunct files, whatever I could lay my hands on. Well, somehow, I fixed the problem. I don't know how, but I did.
