Hello,

I am trying to find a compiled version of the famous ZIP command utility version 3.0
The included zip is 2.32 - old and have 2GB archive limit,
There is source available at
http://www.info-zip.org/
but I have no luck finding the binary.

I'd really appreciate if you could send me a link to DL the compiled version for PPC OSX - if possible X86 also :o]

The easiest way to get it is to use MacPorts. They have Zip 3.0 listed:

This would require me to load the gcc devel package, etc.
I can not do it at home, since I do not have OSX, and I cannot do it on the company's system.
That is why I did post the message here, otherwise I would have it compiled and ready "yesterday"

ok, I did compile zip using MacPorts, unfortunately, the new format supporting large archives is not supported by the unzip v5.53 which is available already as a part of 10.5. I got the 6.0 beta version, recompiled and works fine with the large archives created with zip v3.0... I'll post the link to the binaries compiled on 10.5 PowerPC soon. Thanks!
