Um, so last night spilled water on my MacBook OSX. I immediately shut off my laptop and unplugged it. Then I wiped off the water...and then I let it sit for 5minutes. I powered it back on and it worked fine. Then, the screen started glitching a little, and then it turned red. I could still see the images and make out the graphics. I decided to Shut Down my Laptop and then I waited 10 seconds and tried powering it back on. It goes on but the screen is completely black! So I'm assuming that I might just need to get the graphics part repaired...I don't know. I really don't want to go to the place wher I got it and be like...yeah, so I spilled water on it, can you fix it? If anyone has a vague idea as to what the cost of repairing it would be, please let me know.

DO NOT HAVE ANY LIQUID SUBSTANCES NEAR YOUR LAPTOP, or any computer for that matter. Learn from my mistake!

Thanks...

Welcome to MacNN.

We have a sticky on liquid spills and would appreciate it if you'd read it and post the above in there:

The best thing to do is turn it off, LEAVE IT OFF, with the battery and power disconnected, in the airing cupboard until Sunday. You need to hope you haven't shorted anything out by turning it back on.

This isn't in the right forum either, so I'm going to close it and we'll continue discussion in the thread I've linked to.
