A friend of mine has a MacBook and for some reason it won't keep the WiFi password for her home network. Whenever she restarts the Mac or turns it on it will find the home network but it prompts her for a password. She is selecting to have this network remember. Any idea why it would be doing this? Thank you for your help.

This happens now and then for unknown reasons. The first thing to do is to (have her) create a new network location and connect that way, providing the network password to that location in the process.

There could also be an issue with her Keychain; the "new location" trick works if it's just the entry that's bad, but if the whole Keychain is messed up, that might keep it from working.

This also happens if you've moved System Preferences out of /Applications (though they may have fixed that in later version of Leopard). Solution for me was to put it back in /Applications, enter and save the password. Once that's done you could move it back, but it will eventually happen again and I gave up on keeping it where I wanted it.
