Odd Kernel Panics?

In the past week, OS X 10.4.11 on my G4 PowerBook has had Kernel Panics twice, after probably nearly a year since I had my first Panic, and I can't figure out what it could be that caused them.

The first happened after I ejected my Blackberry after transferring some pictures to my PB. I unplugged the phone, went to talk to my stepbrother for a couple minutes, and then came back to find a Kernel Panic. Then, this morning I went to eject my iPod so I could get that and my PB packed for school, and the moment I unplugged the iPod, I got another Panic.

Sounds like my USB ports, right? Well, I just had an SD card plugged into one of the ports to save an essay (the SD card folds to reveal a direct USB connection so I don't need a reader), and when I ejected it and removed it, no Panic.

Ideas?
