after much fiddling and faddling Im finally on 10.5.6

one of the problem for me on 10.4.x was the computer did not remember my prefered 'view' which is in list, w only size.

in 10.5.6 it remembers the list view and calculates the size (not the realtive dates) but after each reboot it opens in list, size add the menu bar on the left of the window and places the window on the left of the computer in a 'standard' size.

I always get rid of the menubar lists on the left and would like the computer to remember the size of the window and where I placed it last. it remembers these things while the coputer is on but looses this info at shut down.

any ideas?

thanks
