I have a white iMac 24" with 2.1 Ghz Core 2 Duo.

What kind of influence will it have on my machine when I upgrade to Snow Leopard in autumn?

Agreed.

I don't see why you skipped Leopard with that hardware, Veltliner, but we've already discussed that.

Oh yeah, definitely. Snow Leopard is a screamer on all the machines I've seen it on.
