Hey so I'm wondering, I know any app in OS X is just a folder that ends in .app and sometimes on a whim I've wanted to go in and change graphics in a program. I know once I changed the camera icon inside iPhoto to match the camera I had at the time. Little things like that. Sooo, thing is I've got this great little iPhone app called AirMouse but I haaaaaaate the icon, I'd leave it on my main home screen but I just really hate the icon. I'm wondering if there's a way to edit the icon inside the package so that when it syncs with my iPhone the new icon displays and I can have it look however I want?

Nope, because that'll break the code signing.

(unless the iPhone respects icons that you paste onto apps via the "Get Info" window)

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

I think you can do this if you jailbreak your iphone (as part of the jailbreak process is to make it not need signed apps).
What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
