I've posted this before with no replies but I still have the same problem so in desperation here I go again. Syncserver starts as usual for stuff like iTunes and Mail and the just winds itself up and up using all the available CPU and Real Memory climbs and climbs and of course the Mac gets slower and slower. I then use Activity Monitor to force quit the Process until the next time it starts. Any thoughts? Please

I googled your issue and it came back with this:

For the past couple of days a process called SyncServer started every 15 minutes or so and it would take over a 100% of the CPU on my MacBook Pro. Not quite sure what initiated this problem, but I found the remedy discussed in this Apple support case to be useful and apparently effective (well at least so far). I did have .Mac and BlackJack synchronization, so not sure if either of these applications caused this problem or not.

Here is the command that you’ll need to run (broken into a set of cd commands to fit the width of this column).

Thanks for that I'll give it a try. Strange thing is there is reference to this problem at Apple support their cure is changing prefs on .mac thing is I don't have a .mac account. I was going to wait and do a clean install when Snow Leopard is out but the damn thin knows when I'm trying to do work in a hurry and just runs till I lock up *@$$*. Again thanks
