For some reason, the Share Screen feature in ARD 3 is extremely, extremely slow. This is on a gigabit network with about 30 aluminum iMacs.

I did a search on Google and found at least 2 other people with this problem. One person said they didn't have the problem until version 3 of ARD, another person said it was their Linksys switch (we use HP managed switches.)

No problems here. It's fast even from home.

I use ARD daily to manage a fair number of mac's and not seeing an issue as of late. Running Cisco managed switches here.

This is sharing your screen onto multiple computers so everyone sees what's happening on your screen, not using ARD to control another computer. Two different features.

Ahh, ok got it now. I will try this will a full lab of 30 computers tomorrow and see if I have any slowness issues. 30 Mac's should show some kind of issue if this is a none buggy feature

Oh, I just narrowed down the problem. This ONLY happens when displaying a Keynote presentation.

Is that weird, or what? I can do a full screen 1080p video across all 30 screens with no problem. However, the second I present a Keynote it dies. 1 or 2 fps. Doesn't make any sense.

If I can get a hold of a Keynote presentation from somewhere I'd like to try this. Any ideas of free Keynotes to download to try with.

Apple's discussion board has proven to be worthless. :/

Apple just released an update to ARD yesterday (20th August). Have you tried that to see if it helps?

Well, I just ran a sharing session on a lab of 30 iMac's and I get a bit of lag but it's the same if I'm running a KeyNote or not. Not sure if yout get any lag or not with just a regular session or just with Keynote.

ARD 3.3 update was just released. I'll give that a try, see if it changes anything.
