So thought I'd start the thread for those who have purchased 10.6 upgrade/new install.

Just purchased a family pack upgrade here in Dubai... have already Installed o my Late 2008 iMAC C2D 2.16 4GB..

Update finished in about 30 mins and no real issues, just some old preference pane "Hacks" that no longer work but that was to be expected

Initial impressions...

Great, improved the over all speed of this old baby (So I'll wait for the next iMAC update Q4-09/Q1-10), so I'll run it on here for another day before updating my MacBookPro, I am currently updating my MacBook Air Rev B... lets see what it does there for speed and temperatures ....

Hope your milage does not vary

MAC = media access control
Mac = Macintosh

It's iMac. Not IMAC, or, iMAC, or Imac, or any other permutation.

some issues

Safari has issues with some web pages including this one on both devices ... loads the header then just shows "LOADING..."
Internet sharing Eth->Air Broken only on my IMAC but not on the MacBook Air

so this was with a simple UPDATE... now backing up and going to try Clean Install and if supported Archive and install ....

Well, with so many Snow Leopard threads around, I don't see much of a reason to keep this one open.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
