Hi, all -

I'm trying to help a friend install Snow Leopard on her MB Pro, but her disk drive is screwed up. I've done some research, and it seems like I can install via .dmg and Target Disk Mode. However, I haven't found anything about what kind of install this performs. Will this do a clean install, or will it allow me to just upgrade her OS? Thanks for any help!

If you mean her SuperDrive is not working, then there should be no difference. A .dmg is a disk image - it's simply a copy of the DVD that was used to create the .dmg.
