I recently upgraded to LEOPARD, and now notice that every folder on the desktop contains a complete copy of the desktop along with a folder containing the intended contents of the folder. Any ideas how this happened and how to correct it?

You're probably viewing the contents of the folder on the desktop in Column View, which will show the contents of the Desktop in the left column, plus the contents of your current folder in the column to the right. You can try setting your folders on the Desktop to List View or Icon View.

Take a screen capture of your computer by pressing "shift, command, 3" and then posting it here. It's kind of hard to know exactly what you are taking about based on your description.
