I have two user accounts on my MacBook Pro 10.6.2. One account is for guest access during weekdays and account login password security is necessary (set to require password after 5 min of sleep). However, I would prefer to not type my password everytime I need to access my Mac on the weekends, since the "guest user" person is not present in my house.

Does anyone know how to make a security login schedule where passwords are only required during weekdays and not weekends? I doubt this is possible but I figured I'd ask

Can you just set different preferences for the different accounts?

Turn off Fast User Switching in the Security Preference Panel.

And disable automatic login.

Then just keep the password at login on both accounts and have the screen saver password set on the guest account only.

If I'm quick reading the OP right, he wants to only have to type his password in some times but not others.

zonetuke, I don't think there's any automated solution for different security restrictions based on the day of the week like you describe.
