There's a severely nasty bug in 10.6 that corrupts LDAP if you're using Time Machine for your clients. Warhaven ran into the problem. This is keeping me from upgrading my server.

How can an OS update corrupt LDAP data?
Not that I disbelieve you, but this is pretty embarrassing on Apple's part!
