I finally got around to installing SL on my iMac and I've noticed this problem:

The menubar time doesn't seem to match the custom formatting that shows up everywhere else in the system.
Any solution?

It works fine for me...I select "use 24 hour clock" and that's what I get. If I de-select that, I get the 12 hour clock display.

That's not what I'm talking about.
Look at the syspref: It's 6.07.48, but the menubar is (6):07:48.
I'm talking about it using colons when it should be using (my custom) periods.

Same thing happens to me. No matter what custom text I use as a separator, the menu clock retains the colons.

OK, I see what you're saying now. And the same thing that -Q- says happens with me. Change the separator in Language and Text, and the clock at the top stays the same...

Alright. Thanks for your time guys. I don't know how Apple managed to break functionality that existed since before OS X, but by god, they did.
Irritating.

Its worth noting I found a partial solution to this - Use iStat menus Date & Time. Not sure how efficient it is, but I imagine its not terrible.
