I know they are in a particular folder, and you have to delete that folder.

But which folder is it, and where can I find it?

Better Privacy addon for Firefox.

Also, uninstalling Flash does the trick nicely. FlashBlock prevents flash cookies unless you activate a flash object.

This seems to refer to website's access to camera and microphone.

Uninstalling Flash is probably not such a good idea. As a photographer I visit other photographer's websites, which are still often in Flash.

But the Better Privacy Add-on looks great.

Look through the settings - there's a setting for allowing sites to store info, and how much. Might not be the cookies setting, I don't know, but worth looking at.

If just deleting Flash-cookies it's best to install Safari Cookies[/URL]
with this you can manage flash-cookies.

After I initially deleted flash cookies I made the Macromedia flash folder read only.

I would do this then run the repair disk permissions and see if it changes back just in case it does.

Oh, I use Firefox and the better privacy addon already mentioned.

No need to worry about Repair Permissions undoing it. Home folders are not included.

That SO explains a major F*ck up I caused on my sister's laptop! I created a permissions problem and kept wondering why it wasn't being repaired.
