[Nergol]

So a couple days ago I noticed this problem. I have a bunch of files in my Trash with these garbage names, and they won't delete no matter what I do. I've tried restarting. I've tried Option -> Empty Trash. Nothing works. Here's what they look like:



Notice it says there's 87 of them, which is about how many it looks like. But here's what I get when I try to empty trash:



Now it says 21,751 files. So i get this popu-up, hear the "crumbling" Trash-emptying sound, then - nothing. They're still there.

So any ideas about what I can do about all this? Any help would be appreciated.

Run Disk Utility/fsck, you might have some filesystem corruption.

OK, found the issue. One of my external drives was mildly grunged, and the files were being put there by that. I ran Disk Utility on it, and all is well.
