I got a 3 TB external hard drive. I want to partition on side to 150GB and the rest free for data.

I went to DU to do this , but after I click on partition to 2 drives all I'm offered is TB! I don't see a dropdown or an area anywhere to make one drive in Gigabytes.

Click and drag the line between the two partitions in the rectangle to change the size.

When selecting Partition 1, assuming that's where you want the 150GB partition, couldn't you just enter 0.15TB as the size?

Also what's odd is that DU defaults the partition to Power PC format not Intel Guid. If I did not know to click options I'd be screwed (as I once was), this is odd no? you would think mac would be smart enough.

Check the box to remember you. If that doesn't work, your browser probably deletes cookies at end of session. You could whitelist us to get around that.

thanks, how do you whitelist a website? I know how to do that with email.

It should be an advanced option in your cookie preferences.

I'm in Firefox, I just see add and remove cookies.

This happened to me a few months ago, for a few weeks using Camino. I could not get the site to remember that I was logged in. Then, for no apparent reason, ie no soft or hard ware changes, it went back to normal. Which makes me think, why not see what happens in another browser?
