Has anyone run into any issues running apps that require Java under Lion? Problems getting the auto-download to work? Issues with apps not running even after installing Java?

I ask because I do some side-work for a client, and the software I have to use is Java-based. Unfortunately, the manufacturer reports that they have yet to get the app working in Lion, and they don't sound hopeful. So, I'm just wondering what others' experience is, so far, with Lion and Java.
