will the iBook G4 14" around 2005 run 10.5?

Yes, provided it has:
an 867 Mhz or higher CPU
512mb or more of RAM
of course, I will assume you have made sure you have enough hard drive space, don't try to do this if
it has less than 10GB.

Looks like all iBook G4 14s were above the speed limit. Which is easy enough to bypass anyway.

Ditto on the other details. You probably won't be too happy if you're close to all the minimums.

10.5 runs fine on my iMac 800, with Leopard Assist. In fact, I even run it on a 450 MHz Cube.

That said, just about any video content sucks on even our 1 GHz iBook. The only reason I haven't bought something to replace my GF's iBook is because I didn't feel like dropping $700 on a refurb Air.
