I'd like to change my English language setting from American to English. I have the Lion OS and when I go to System Preferences > Language and Text > Formats and change the region from United States to United Kingdom, it simply reverts to United States i.e doesn't save the new region. This happens for any region apart from United States.

Any suggestions would be very gratefully received....this problem seems to have beaten the techies at my company.
