I think in Tiger, you had an arrangement tab that is now gone with the Leopards. I'm on Leopard.
Some software I had is asking to to check my mirror display between two monitors or screens. How you you know what going on with Leopard? confused, thanks.

The Arrangement tab only appears when you have more than one monitor connected. And only on the Displays window of the menu-bar monitor.

Reader, thanks, actaully what is going on is the 2nd monitor is actaully a Canon projector. When I plug in the projector then it will appear?

This confuses me a bit:
"And only on the Displays window of the menu-bar monitor."

When you open the Displays pref pane, you get a Displays window on every monitor. So you can adjust resolution / color depth / rotation for each monitor independently of the other(s).

Whichever monitor has the menubar on it is your primary monitor. The Arrangement tab will appear on the Displays window of that monitor. note: in the Arrangement tab, you can move the menubar to a different monitor if you wished, making that the new menubar monitor.

About your projector. Once you plug it in, your Mac should recognize and use it. And the Arrangement tab will appear in your Displays prefpane.

Ah, I see, it you have to have the laptop lid OPEN, and you have to click detect displays. I cannot remember, but maybe Tiger was more intuitive, is just came up the arrangement tab back then?
