can someone tell me if its normal that when using Mac OS X server, ATI rage 128 is not supported? i have Blue G3/400 and my screen redraws are endlessly slow. When starting the blue box the ATI graphics acceleration extension failes to load and hardware support for 3d games does not work either. help appreciated.

Video acceleration is not supported in the Blue Box -- nor are any other hardware-dependent feature.
Blue Box emulates a Power Mac, but not your PowerMac.

But what about video acceleration in Mac OS X server without using blue box?

From what I understand, hardware acceleration is available under MOSXS, but not to the blue box. Quake 2 plays nicely under MOSXS, but not so much in the blue box because of all the overhead, and the lack of hardware acceleration.
