does anyone know of a way to add users to Active Directory / NetInfo other than through the GUI ?

i found this link complete with scripts, etc. pretty nice, but not quite perfect. doesn't work just right in 10.3 i think. (problems with the home directory, automounts, etc)

also, looking for a way to automatically add users (just like that script) only using "advanced" password (not crypt, things like require change on next login, minimum # chars, etc)

looking to make user authentication a bit more manageable in a lab that currently logs all users in under the same account {shudder}.

you can try using the niload utility, but I suggest a more broad solution like using NIS.
