Greetings. I was under the impression that the Airport Software Basestation was brought back from OS 9 when Jaguar came out, but in going through both Airport Setup Assistant and Airport Admin Utility, I could not find any option that enables it. Do you know how this is done?

Haven't set it up myself since I've only set up networks with the physical Base Station, but it looks straightforward.

To create a network, either use Internet Connect or under the Airport signal meter to "Create Network"

Also see the Sharing preference panel (Internet pane) to start internet sharing if that's what you're looking to do.

Thanks, Philipmarch, that worked! I can't believe how easy it is to connect this way in 10.2. In 10.1 it was such a pain that I stopped using my AirPort card altogether.
