I'm trying to FTP pdfs at work. I have used at least 4 differnet FTP clients and get the same result. When uploading the speed starts at around 20,000, then quickly drops to around 9,000-10,000. However, it begins to drop off very quickly. In less than a minute the speed is down to around 600-700. It just keeps dropping from there.

I have tried uploading the same file from home (differnt ISP) and everything works fine. Switching between computers at work has no effect.

I am guessing that this is a problem with the ISP at work, and not with the FTP host computers.

Any ideas on how I can find out if it is the ISP or a problem with our small network? (3 macs, 1 snap server, HP printer, and broadband - 8 port Linksys switch.
