I have 2 Macs that I'd like to share a USB printer.
One Mac is a G4 (933Mhz) running 10.2.1
Other Mac Pismo PB running 10.1.5
HP 1200 USB printer connected to the G4
I'm running a in-home network using a Linksys Router
I've checked "printer sharing" on the G4 (10.2.1)
The PB cannot "see" the HP 1200 when I click "add printer" in print center and select "AppleTalk".
I've also tried to mess around with LPR/IP option, with no success. This shouldn't be so difficult! What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!
Alejandro

You need 10.2 on both machines.

How about 10.2 on one machine and 9.2 on the other machine? Its the 9.2 machine that has the printer. I read on Apple's web site that os 9 machine can't use a printer on the os X machine, but nothing was said about the vice versa.
Thanks.

Maybe if the printer is a "network" printer, i.e., with ethernet. Otherwise, I don't think so.
