Here's my only problem in connecting my first and only wireless network: ( <-- That smiley is just for me, since I'm pround that I only have one problem!)

Details:
TiBook 10.2.2 on Linksys wireless router
PC XP wired to Linksys

I can get into my XP box's shared folders just fine from the PB. I see both the PB and the PC just fine on my network when I comd-K on the 'book.

I can get into the TiBook from the PC "ONLY" when I go start->run: \\192.168.1.101\username (where, of course, "username" = my TiBook's login name). From there, everything works just fine.

My problem is that I'm a lazy bastard and don't want to do that everytime! How can I get the TiBook to show up in "My Network Places" like it's supposed to? (Obviously, and combination of clicking "View workgroup computers" and re-booting isn't doing anything.)

Ideas? Help? Advice?

Thanks!

the easy way would be to make an alias on the windows box to the mac share.. this can be done either by a simple shortcut or by mapping a network drive.
the "hard" way would be to edit your smb.conf as root. i think it's at /etc/smb.conf or /etc/samba/smb.conf.
basically, you'll wanna put "browseable = yes" under your "[homes]" section.

*i think*
i've had trouble getting my friends' xp boxes to see my cube, whereas it worked fine in win98se.

if you're gonna edit smb.conf, try "man smb.conf" in the terminal for a guide on what you can do in there.
sorry if this is a little rusty - i'm not on my mac right now, and i get confused it and my linux box (which i'm using at the moment).
