I'm having no luck printing via Appletalk (10.1.5). It just won't recognize that Appletalk is on. So I'd like to try printing using IP but I have no idea how to determine what the IP of my printer is.

I have an ethernet hub which my Mac to my cable modem (successfully) and should be connecting my printer as well but isn't.

Given that every printer vendor (and even different printer lines from the same vendor) has different ways of assigning IP addresses, there's absolutely no way anyone can answer your question without at least knowing the make and model of your printer.

Even then, the support web site for the manufacturer would be the first place to look.
