Can't Recieve OE Email with Airport

I have two macs connected to my Bell Sympatico DSL modem via a new airport. Both run OS 9 and are fitted with airport cards. Almost everything works great with this setup, except:

Outlook express. I haven't been able to recieve any mail on my POP account via OE since the airport was installed. Sent mail goes through to the recipient, but OE receives nothing.

I've called my provider's tech support line. All they do is check my email setup details, then tell me they don't support the airport setup.

It's not a huge deal, as I rely on web based email now. I would like to know if it is possible to use OE with airport. What the heck is going on?
