Orinoco Silver USB Client on Mac?

Hello ...

I've inherited an Orinoco Silver USB Client external wireless card/antenna thing.

Removing the internal card from the case and placing it into an iBook works fine. The USB connection is the trouble spot; the Mac (Beige G3 running OS 9.2.2) to which I want to attach it won't work with it. (System Profiler identifies the device just fine, but the System complains that it doesn't have drivers to use it.)

Are there third-party driver solutions available, or is this a complete no-go?

Thanks,

DayLateDon

You're better off for now just using the card by itself. For some reason, there aren't very many Mac drivers for USB wireless network products, no matter who makes them. To me this is kind of dumb, since Apple pioneered the use of USB, but there it is.

You might see if you can get the antenna out of the case and stick it on your iBook for better range, but howardm4 is right; your Beige G3 is SOL.
