I am trying to enable iChat, well the rendezvous service of iChat, to work over my local network. I can get it to work, but as soon as I turn on the built-in firewall, no rendezvous on the local network anymore. I am pretty sure that I need to open up the port that rendezvous is running on but I don't know the port number. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I even have a funnier problem, it's called one-way rendezvous.
Ok, I have configured my gf's iBook (she's a switcher!) and wanted to give iChat a try (otherwise I don't use it). We connected via AirPort. When I set up the network, only I could invite her for a chat. The chat worked fine and all, but when she would try to invite me, the program would stall and say that the service is not available.
Same problem vice versa.
Here you have two identically configured (HW and SW) iBooks ...
Didn't matter if I turned the firewall on or off.
It only works correctly when one iBook shares the internet connection and I am online ...
Any suggestions?

Thanks! I tried the 5298 port before and that didn't work but combined with 5353 it worked like a charm! Thanks for the help again!
