hello I can get to the pc from the mac but not the other way . I see the name under workgroup computers but when I get to the login it just blinks at me.. like I have the wrong password.. I have tried all passwords from both and all login names.. is there something I am missing? the pc is running xp pro and the ibook is running 10.2.3 and dave 4.0

There's an issue with what password is the right one when connecting from a PC to a Mac. Check Apple's Knowledgebase for something like "sharing with a PC" or "passwords when using sharing," or browse through this forum for a while-it's been discussed in the last few weeks.
