I connect to the internet on my imac with an airport card via a snow white Airport Base. Even though I get to the internet with this set up, I am unable to change the configuration of the base station. With the airport admin utility, when I click "configure" and enter the correct password, I get the error message "...unable to read the configuration...".

How can I can I resolve this?

I have a 10.2.3 machine and have a
similar problem using a Lucent RG1000
(same h/w as the original ABS).

I haven't tried doing the config when
plugged into the ethernet (vs. trying
to do it wirelessly).

You should be able to use the Sevy
Java configurator though.

Didn't Apple mess around w/ the
passwd key format in 10.2.x ?

If you take a look over at the Apple forums Airport section, there are an awful lot of people who've been experiencing this and worse problems, you might find an answer there if one doesn't surface here...
