My friend is switching and lives in Marin County, north of San Francisco. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a dialup ISP? He's thinking of going for Earthlink, which is $20/mo. or so, but I was thinking there might be something cheaper, but dependable, with reasonably good support. Muchas Gracias!

I live in SF and use Earthlink. I had a hell of a time getting it up and running, but now that it is I have no complaints. You might also try Covad, they are the ones that Earthlink uses, but you could go to them directly!
Good luck!

Oops! I think Covad only does DSL!
Sorry.
