it would be risky for apple to release a new airport based on g because g is not even a standard yet. its only in draft form. So if they made major changes to it, apple would be stuck with hardware that doesn't work.

The Buffalo uses the same Broadcom chip (Buffalo chips anyone) as Apple is using in their 802.11g announcement tomorrow.

If only Apple priced its Airport G base station around $115, like those other products. Pigs will sooner fly, of course. I bet Apple won't charge less than $200, maybe more.
