After dealing with Airport Snow's weak reception (Ti 800 Powerbook) and incompatibilities and facing mixed networking with Macs and PeeCees at home I decided to go 802.11g from scratch, since Apple is announcing theirs' at MWSF tomorrow.

Look Here: http://www.80211-planet.com/news/article.php/1562741

Ask for Andrew....mention MacNN

The Buffalo uses the same Broadcom chip (Buffalo chips anyone) as Apple is using in their 802.11g announcement tomorrow.

External directional and omnidirectional antennas also available.

Buffalo's Tech support says they can be network bridged together.

I'll be able to experiment with the PCMCIA card slot on the Powerbook G4 to use with the Buffalo card, since there are some drivers available from Buffalo. I'll be testing for distance as well as throughput.

Now if there was a way to use the Airport card (internal) with the 54G card from Buffalo together sort of like two inline motors in a boat. Oh well.
