Where on the AirPort card / Network Preference Pane do I set up Web Encryption Keys so they can match the keys on my wireless router?

This is how I usually set it:

Open 'Internet Connect'
Configuration : Airport
Turn Airport On
Network : Other
Enter SSID and WEP key in the popup. (precede the key with a #)

Or in the Network prefs:

Show: Airport
Select the Airport tab

(You did mean WEP Encryption Keys, right?)

Did you get it working? Was the router using 40-bit/64-bit?
It should also be able to use 128-bit, which is what I was expecting. 128-bit won't give you a much greater advantage, but you might as well use it instead of 64-bit.

In previous models, WEP has been known to decrease connect speeds. It's best just to use it anyway, unless you want your AP to be open.

A Linksys product using 128-bit WEP uses the first key by default, and usually just copies the first key into the other three positions. 128-bit works slightly differently from 40-bit, so this isn't a real issue.

WEP should not noticably affect your traffic speed with modern (less than two year old) equipment, since it is implemented in hardware, thus not affecting the device's CPU usage.
