Hello everybody
at home I have my PC with windows2k connected to ADSL I would like to buy the new Airport so I can walk around with my 12" (well I'm gonna buy it!).

Do you think it's possible or it is necessary a software Only-For-Apple to manage the Airport so it must be connected only to a Mac?
Maybe I can connect to a router dsl?

... do you think I'll have a discount at the AppleStore (at clarendon) if I buy the 12" SD, AE card and AE base??

thanks!

you probably wont get a discount...

I think that the airport bs has an extra lan port so you could hook it up to the ADSL modem directly and then run the windows machine straight off of the basestation and you would have the wireless for the pb.

It can only be configured with an apple but it should allow any computer to use it so you should be fine.

edwood, the main forum listing clearly states that wireless networking doesn't belong in this forum.

Please pay more attention to where you post in the future.

Moving to Networking.

An AirPort Base Station is no mere peripheral! I like TheMosco's suggestion-the "Dual Ethernet" snow base is a great way to share your DSL in this situation.
