The new base stations have a usb port. i assume i plug in my epson inkjet and just print... my question is how?

is it sending the usb connection "over the airwaves" or is it doing printer sharing and the base station is acting like a mac w/ printer sharing on.

i have a friend w/ a wireless print server. will this work w/ a mac (linksys i think).

thanks!

The USB port in the new base station will act like a network print server for the USB connection-which is pretty much exactly like a Mac sharing a USB printer.

If the printer has a Centronics jack on it (a big long blue connector with a lot of flat, gold conductors on it) then a parallel print server will also work. In this case it will work as an IP printer.
