At my university, my library has a wireless internet connection. The default connections prompts me to login to obtain the SSID and WEP key information to "Fully utilize" the internet.

Under OSX, I simply go to the airport icon and choose "Other" to input this information.

However, is there a way to save this location and wep key to either a file or my keychain??? There is no checkbox that asks if I want to save this location/wep.

I ask this because it's tedious entering my WEP key everytime I go to the library and attempt to access the net.

Any help appreciated.

Mike

Make different locations under network preferences that connect by default to certain networks. Create a "Library" location and enter the wireless info; create a "Home" location and enter the wireless info. Then, when you want to switch, go to the apple in the upper left corner, go to location, and choose which one you want.
