My first question is if the airport extreme card is required for the airport extreme base station. I have a TiBook with an airport card, but I'm not sure if it is able to connect to an airport extreme base station.

Second, I want to share my internet connection and a USB printer between my TiBook and a PC. I currently have the Netgear MR814 router, which doesn't have any type of print server. I'm wondering now if I should get the Apple Extreme (depending on if I need a new airport card) which has the built in print server or if I should keep my Netgear router and and get a side print server.

My current setup works, but I want a hardware solution for when I dump my PC. I currently have the printer connected to the PC and am printing to it over wireless means using GhostPrint.

Any feedback?
Just my $.02 :-)

Your TiBook's AirPort card will work with the Extreme base station, but only at 11Mbps. If you get the Extreme base station, you can share with the PC by hooking its network card to the second ethernet port on the Extreme. Then you just connect the USB port on the base station with the USB port on your printer and you're good to go.
