I have been getting kernal panics using Netbarrier 10.2 on OSX.
Netbarrier is only installed on the Quicksilver G4 running OS 10.2.3. The firewall is set up with one of the default settings, “client, local server” is checked. I can log into the eMac running 10.2.3 with no problems. If I connect from the eMac to the Quicksilver, I can start to transfer files, but it will stop after a few seconds and the Quicksilver will kernal panic. Sometimes it will take down the eMac, but not always. After looking at my logs, it appears Netbarrier is causing the panic. So I searched and removed all traces of Netbarrier and the network was fine. Then I reinstalled it and the same thing happened. The strange thing is, prior to getting the eMac, I would have the same thing happen when my sons iMac which was running OS9.2.2. At the time, I attributed this to an OSX/OS9 conflict with the networking. So I reconnected the iMac and removed Netbarrier and things work properly.
