OK I got the new airport extreme about 2 days ago and I cant get it to work with both my powermac G4 (quicksilver) and my iBook SE at the same time. I can only get it to connect to my iBook thruw the ABS and its very impresive just as fast as when I had the Powermac connected direclty to the DSL modem, really guys awsome speed for wireless.

But now I have the DSL modem connected to the AEBS and then I was told that the other ethernet jack is to connect that to another mac is you wished.

Put it wont work I can only go on the net with the iBook cant figure out how to connect with the powermac and ibook both.

Please help!!!!

Sorry, I can't help. I do have a question though. Why did you purchase an airport extreme base station if neither of your two computers can benefit from the "extreme" portion of the ABS? Is it impossible to purchase a snow Airport Base Station?

Well for one I wanted to buy an ABS for quite a while and when these things came out with usb printing I finally went thruw with it. I could have gotten a snow version at the apple store but that was only a few bucks less and has no printer sharing. Plus why waste my money on something old from Apple when you know Apple is gonna MAKE you upgrade like they are doing with OS X. I got the 249 AEBS cause its new.. I was in the store...I had just gotten paid...I wanted one...I had the money for the new and best one...And I have to be honest I had to get my hands on one of those cool white apple logo bags everyone was walking out of the store with.

By the way... Im going to the mall tomorrow and I will be buying the bluetooth usd adapter and that cool volume blue light thing.

I really need to get some supervision over my money this is crazy.

Anyway Can someone please answer help request.

You need to make sure you have the DSL modem plugged into the WAN ethernet port and the PowerMac plugged into the LAN port. If you swap them your wireless network gets exclusive access to your Internet connection, but only one computer will be able to connect. Worse, the NAT firewall within the base station is bypassed, so any <strikeout>slimy, no good, despicable jerk</strikeout> undesirable character could potentially view or damage your files.
