I've got a TiBook 1 ghz and my wireless connection no longer starts up automatically after starting the computer up or after awaking from sleep. It used to do this automatically but now i have to manually click the network name to enable it. The only thing I changed recently was changing the name of the network from 'default' to a different name, and i also enabled 128 bit encryption which was previously disabled. I don't know if this is related or not.

Has anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

Go to Sys Prefs > Network > Airport tab. Check the config there.
