I am currently waiting for a 12" PB to arrive (yeey!) and I was wondering whether Jag had settings that allowed the computer to wake up on an incoming network signal. What I want to be able to do is to put my laptop to sleep and then SSH in when I'm at uni and didn't bring it along for some reason. Is there a setting that will allow me to do this? Thanks!!

No. this won't work.

While all recent Macs have a 'wake on lan' feature in the Energy Saver preferences, it ONLY works by listening to specially-crafted broadcast packets sent over the network.

The very nature of these packets mean they will only traverse the LAN. They can not traverse a WAN, so sending them from the university will not work.
