I am so frustrated. I'm trying to update the firmware on my AEBS. But I can't get the stupid thing to configure -- every time I hit the "configure" option, it asks me to enter a password. I enter every password ever (including the standard "public," and I keep getting an error message. I don't get a "wrong password" message, just an error message. Before I call Apple and scream, any one have a similar situation?

Thanks.

I did call Apple -- got someone who walked me through many steps (including totally resetting everything up and resetting the base station -- hard-wiring the base station to the powerbook, etc. etc. etc. Very good service person, too)

That got everything up and working. I also got the firmware updated. So we'll see what happens next.

Same thing happened to me. You have to install the Airport 3.0 software that comes with the base station in order to be able to write the config to it.
